Things to Avoid After a Botox Treatment

Are you planning to get Botox injections in Salt Lake City from specialty clinics such as Clarity Skin? If your answer is yes, you should understand that there are activities you need to avoid after getting Botox treatment.

Here are some of them.

Hardcore Exercise

If you have friends and family members who are getting regular Botox injection, you have probably heard them talk about avoiding strenuous exercise routines following the treatment. This is not something out of vanity or laziness; it is actually what the doctor ordered.

Doctors usually tell Botox patients to avoid any form of strenuous exercise after getting a Botox injection. This includes vigorous runs, HIIT exercise routines, and most especially contact sports. But it is not forever, not even months. It is at least for a few days to avoid any form of Botox-induced bruising.

Facial Masks and Facial Massages

Facial masks are great go-to options if you want to rehydrate your skin, but not if you got Botox-ed recently. This is because some of the ingredients found in many facial masks act as “antagonists” to Botox. At least for the next 48 to 72 hours, avoid using facial masks.

Of course, you can always apply makeup after a Botox treatment but try to avoid any other facial treatments following the procedure, including facial massages.

Alcohol

Sorry, but you need to avoid the booze after a Botox treatment. This is because you can get bruises if you drink after getting Botox injections. So if you do not want to deal with unnecessary bruising, keep away from alcoholic beverages at least for two to three days. After all, you can always drink after a week.

Just like any cosmetic treatment, there are things you need to avoid after getting a Botox treatment. Make sure you ask your doctor about the other precautions you need to undertake after a Botox treatment to prevent unpleasant consequences.
